The Underground Target

19 Dec

Ok buddies, now typically I would keep something like this to myself, seeing as it is one of the best places to score a whole bunch of amazing stuff for pretty much nothing. But, I’m feeling generous. In the spirit of the season, I will share with all of you one of the most wonderful shopping secrets of Minneapolis that I’ve stumbled upon in the 6+ years I’ve been traipsing around the place:

I give you, THE UNDERGROUND TARGET:

Now, I know it may not look like much, but wait a second and hear me OUT. You won’t regret it.

What is the Underground Target?

It is essentially a Target, but with much lower prices and a whole lot less organization. Almost everything is brand new and dirt cheap. I have purchased everything from dishes to dvds to american apparel bikinis to 3M command strips here. They have tons of housewares, furniture, clothes, and everything in between.

How Do I Find the Underground Target?

This secret gem is located about 6 blocks from the Target Stadium and practically rests under the highway. How about this – Let’s all save ourselves a lot of pain and trouble by clicking on this extremely convenient link that I’ve painstakingly added for all of you: See Google Map. (900 N 4th St, Minneapolis, MN 55401, Salvation Army)

Please take note of the fact that the underground target is actually located in the basement of a Salvation Army. The parking lot is literally a highway underpass. Although this place isn’t exactly super-deluxe from the outside, it is worth the sketchiness and questionable rooftop onlookers (you’ll probably see what I mean).

This is pretty much the only place that I can afford to spend money. I promise that with just one short trip, you’ll be able to spend money again too. Take that, RECESSION.

This is my gift to you, readers. Merry Christmas from me and everyone here at Written Arrow LLC (still just me).
